ATTENTION COSPLAYERS:

I would like to make the paint brand “Angelus” known. It is a special paint that is for leather, faux leather, rubber, and similar surfaces.

This is literally the best paint you can buy if you love a pair of shoes, but they aren’t in the right color for your character.

This stuff coats VERY well AND the coats of paint bend with your shoes. This means no cracking!!

In the photos above I took black rain boots and painted them with Angelus Turquoise. As you can see, they don’t look black any more! It’s so good!

I managed to paint two boots with a little one ounce bottle of the paint, and I still have a third of the bottle left over!

The paint dries very fast, so you can put layer on top of layer on top of layer without it streaking.

You can get the paint on Amazon and it comes in every color!

I just really wanted to make this known!! 😀 This stuff is amazing!

Don’t buy Angelus pain’t on Amazon, it’s like $6.99 an ounce. Buy it direct from their online store the poster above linked, the single ounce bottles are $2.95 there. Also, a little goes a long way, unless you have something HUGE to paint, you can probably do it with a small bottle. I barely dented the one I got doing all the black on this;

Angelus is amazing! Just leave a little shipping time from their site—my brother and I customize sneakers with it, and they work well even on everyday wear items

I was supposed to be Thanos but I procrastinated. So decided to fine tune Killmonger for the con instead. After telling my daughter about Avengers IW, she wanted to see pics of young Gamora and then ran off yelling “I’m gonna be baby Gamoorrraa”.

I googled and you tubed so many processes. Made the spear/sword/dagger with foam and craft stuff. Custom sewed her dress/robe. Mom styled her wig and applied her face/hand makeup. My necklace was made from Worbla and false fangs. Hair piece is a trimmed wig dredded up by an awesome friend of mine. Jewelry, chest straps, boots, and robe were simple items. Learned how to mold, cast and apply silicon in order to make the scarification marks.

Overwhelmingly positive reactions at Blerdcon. This is only our second convention cosplay so we didn’t expect the reactions. They absolutely loved my lil one (more than me, definitely) Everybody in Black Panther cosplay wanted to challenge me. Ladies thinking I was wearing a full fake chest. Funny, would be that my daughter was always behind me and if someone asked me for a pic, they were immediately “awww"ing and wanting her pic instead when she popped out from behind me.

Blerdcon is one of the dopest events I’ve ever attended. Nerding out with my family is really special and my daughter gets to see so many little girls like her that just want to dress up and have fun, too. It’s essentially what every young nerd wish existed growing up.

Cosplay has given me an outlet to mix my artistic side with my nerd/pop culture side. My GF and daughter love it now and I’ve started convincing friends to join me at conventions. Also has allowed to see/meet SOOO many new people and learn/read about them. It’s a whole new genre in my life that allows me to learn and create in a space that I’m totally comfortable with even though I’m a rookie.

My daughter is super excited about all of this and was shocked to hear/read comments from the cosplay community. Thank you all. I also want to start doing cosplay shoots with other cosplayers, so if anyone wants to make that happen, lemme know
