There is no feminism to speak of at this point in history: no preserved understanding on the part of any of these women that their rule could potentially change the patriarchal system going forward.
In the long run, ancient Egypt was no less cruel and oppressive to women than every other complex society on Earth – but, here, they snatched the gift away after graciously bestowing it. Anyway my point is: steampunk. Steampunk is what people in the 1800s thought the 21st century would look like. The top picture is what people in the mid-late 1900s thought this century would look like.
