not to be harry potter on main but i honestly think the fantastic beasts series would have been so much more interesting if it was just about the beasts. i don’t give a fuck about grindelwald, just give me a movie about an eccentric wizard travelling the world looking for magical animals and teaching us the power of friendship

newt’s character should have been like the crocodile hunter but in a wizard hat send tweet

You want series abt grindewald you name it ‘movie abt grindewald’. I see movie named ‘fantastic beasts’, I want movie abt those

maybe propose “Craft Friday”–instead of shopping on Black Friday, you get together with friends and make stuff

it wouldn’t even necessarily be stuff intended as gifts

the only rule is, since it’s an anti-consumerist kinda thing, all craft supplies are things you already have.

WIP or UFO?  make some progress on it.

project you bought supplies for long ago and never tried?  now’s the time

supplies left over from a project you did finish, or decided you never would actually do?  everybody brings theirs and things are freely exchanged

people probably do this already

CRAFT FRIDAY

I love this! ❤

al jazeera article explaining what happened here (article published 11/14/18)

KEY QUOTE FROM THE ARTICLE:

If Congress does not pass legislation protecting the tribe and the legal challenge fails, the Mashpee would be stripped of their right to exercise sovereign jurisdiction over their land.

Jessie Little Doe Baird, the tribe’s vice-chairwoman, told Al Jazeera that loss of jurisdiction would prevent the tribe from running indigenous language schools, tribal courts, and housing projects, as well as its own police.

“We have our own police force, which is important because they’re tribal citizens and since we’ve had our own police force, none of our men have been beaten or shot, which we’ve had before with non-tribal police,” she said.
