Hey folks, another big recall just hit the states, for both refrigerated and frozen products. Read up, and be careful out there!

And if you need to stay updated, FoodSafety.gov has an RSS feed listed under Recalls & Alerts > Get Automatic Alerts.

now i gotta go thru my fridge

I love living in a country where every three days the FDA or the CDC has to announce which foods will kill us this week and which ones won’t.

This is a possible listeria outbreak, it’s no joke

Please check the food in your fridge.

#some people were committed to ross and rachel — that didn’t even register for me bc it was all about Fran/Max Sheffield  #one
of the (many) reasons Love Actually gives me the shits it’s bc it
refuses to acknowledge it’s all about the master/maid dynamic
#and pretends it’s showing this varied and poetic spectrum  #whereas The Nanny is like yeah we’re doing master/maid  #TO THE HILT  #every trope every joke every shippy stupid jane eyre emotional beat they label and OWN  #and they did it all in canned laugher bewitched i love lucy style sitcom  #AND I WAS IN LOOOOOOVE  #it’s like if you’re gonna do faulein maria and captain vontrapp you need to REALLY DO IT  #with zero illusions  #(in other news: the fashions were so utterly righteous omg)  #(again
with my point about how the 90’s were not all about the kurt and
courtney aesthetic – it was mostly high glam big hair and prints)

Brilliant Indian comic book turns rape victim into a kick-ass super hero

India’s rape crisis has a new female face, but it’s not what you think.

A new comic book, Priya’s Shakti, is making waves in India for its unconventional heroine: a rape victim-turned-superhero who fights gendered violence with the help of the Hindu goddess Parvati.

According to the comic’s website, the storyline focuses on Priya, a mortal woman who experienced a brutal rape and ensuing social stigma and isolation. Inspired by Parvati, Priya breaks her silence and reveals her assault, encouraging people around the world to take action against sexual violence.

This is much more than a comic. Literally.
